Okay, I was wrong. Prayer does work.

Yahweh delivers this man from the police. A divine miracle of incompetent police work.

Prayer also works, appropriately, if you are the Orlando Magic. At least for now.

LOL I hate saying this but I do agree with him about the actions of cops at times. Most times they do follow the rules but at times they don’t and when they don’t they seldom have to pay as they should. Since I didn’t see what led to this I can’t really say that these guys were doing anything wrong though. They seem to keep their cool even when being mocked. I bet they were a little stunned when the tazer didn’t have the effect that is normal.

  3. Will Says:

Those cops were amazingly gentle with that man.

And I’m not surprised to see that the taser didn’t work. I recently watched a video where a guy started to beat a cop. The cop first pepper sprayed him, then shot him in the stomach at point blank range with no effect.

  4. Sisyphus Fragment Says:

That was hilarious. Unfortunately, that event probably strengthened that man’s delusion.

But it was GOD who made the police incompetent BEattitude! I wonder whether you ever were a “true” Christian, because you just don`t seem to understand the wondrous way in which He works!!

He may have gotten away, but if they knew he had a warrant out for his arrest then they had obviously run his license through. So they would have record of the entire event and would just add it to his record. He could fight it in court of course, but warrants have a way of sticking around forever unless you get things straightened out.

And to barriejohn, there have been entire libraries of books dedicated to one god’s miracles or another. You can do a simple search for Muslim miracles or miracles of Islam and you would get page after page. Christians might find Jesus in their grilled cheese, whereas Muslims will see Allah in their pita bread. It’s all a matter of perspective.

God can do anything, littlemissangrygirl. He could cure all the diseases in the world at a stroke if He wanted to – He just can`t be arsed, that`s all! (Hope you understand that expression!!)

BASIC Personal Discipling (Chapter 4 – The Power of Prayer):

“If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and heard my voice of prayer.” Psalm66:18-19
    - Effective prayer comes with a life of uprighteousness.

“If you believe, you will received whatever you ask for in prayer.”Matthhew 21:22
    -Effective prayer requires faith.

“If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given to you.” John15:7
-Effective prayer comes when you abide in Christ and His words.

“Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive and your joy will be complete.” John16:24
-Effective prayer comes from praying in the name of Jesus.

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him.” 1John5:14-15
    - Effective prayer comes when what we pray for is IN LINE WITH GOD’S WILL. (I think that’s why some of your prayers aren’t answered. Don’t ask for what that you think is good, even though it might have been given to Godly men and women. God’s plan for every single one of is unique and different. No two plans’ are the same.)

“When you ask, you do not receive because you ask with the wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasure.” James 4:3
    - Effective prayer comes when we do not ask to fulfill our seflish desires, or other peoples’ selfish desires for that matter.

We are to tryst God and to pour out our hearts to Him, but that ain’t gonna happen when you sin and doubt God’s ability to love you.
