RICHMOND — State Delegate Bob Marshall of Manassas says disabled children are God’s punishment to women who have aborted their first pregnancy.
He made that statement Thursday at a press conference to oppose state funding for Planned Parenthood.
“The number of children who are born subsequent to a first abortion with handicaps has increased dramatically. Why? Because when you abort the first born of any, nature takes its vengeance on the subsequent children,” said Marshall, a Republican.
“In the Old Testament, the first born of every being, animal and man, was dedicated to the Lord. There’s a special punishment Christians would suggest.”
Marshall was among more than 20 people, mostly Christian pastors and clergy, who gathered for the press conference in the General Assembly Building.
They called on Virginia officials to eliminate state funding for Planned Parenthood because the organization provides abortions.
“We are gathered this afternoon to draw attention to the unethical, immoral and racist practices of the largest abortion provider in America,” said Dean Nelson, executive director of the Network of Politically Active Christians.

Salvation comes by faith alone apart from actions and deeds.
“On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.” –Romans 3:27-28
“know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.” –Galatians 2:16
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” –John 3:16
Salvation comes by following every Old Testament Law and teaching these laws with righteousness surpassing a Pharisee.
“I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.” –Matthew 5:17-20
Salvation comes through works, faith alone is not enough. You must prove your faith through action to earn salvation.
“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” –James 2:17
“You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.” –James 2:24
Salvation comes by being baptized, confessing your sins and repeatedly begging God for forgiveness.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.” –1 John 1:9-10
“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” –Acts 2:38
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus.” –Acts 3:19-20
Salvation comes by not being financially rich.
“I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” –Matthew 19:23-24
Salvation comes by eating Jesus’ flesh and drinking his blood.
“I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” –John 6:53-54

“The Christian resolve to find the world evil and ugly, has made the world evil and ugly.” - Friedrich Nietzsche
Many Christians today love to reference the large number of believers worldwide and the rapid spread of Christianity as proof of God’s spirit at work. What they fail to mention is the history of how God’s spirit convinced people to believe.
The Bible is very consistent in proclaiming sadistic eternal punishment for all non-chosen and non-believing people upon death. This irrational fear mongering has helped successfully propagate this religion throughout the centuries. God loves you and will burn you for eternity if you don’t believe it … and he needs your money.
Throughout the past 2,000 years, Christianity has played an equally sadistic role in people’s lives on earth to convince them to “accept Jesus.” Having complete control over government, human life and spirit made it very easy for the church to do so.
The Christian church murdered, tortured, mutilated and destroyed millions and millions of people both directly through the Inquisition and indirectly through the Crusades and wars they incited. Between the years of 1450-1600, the church was responsible for the torture, and burning of approximately 30,000 alleged “witches.” Millions of these “witches” were murdered over the course of a millennium. Girls as young as nine and boys as young as ten were tried for witchcraft. Children much younger were tortured to extract testimony against their parents. Children were then flogged while they watched their parents burn alive at the stake.
During the reign of the Roman Emperor Constantine CE 306-337 the doctrines of the xtian church were regarded as the foundation of law. Heretics (persons who opposed church teachings) were sought out, tortured and eventually murdered. Heresy was an offense against the state as well as the church. For hundreds of years, civil rulers tried to wipe out all heresy.
According to Pope Innocent III:
“Anyone who attempted to construe a personal view of god which conflicted with the church dogma must be burned without pity.”
After the Catholic church lost governmental power, they had already indoctrinated millions of people into the Christian belief system. It’s the perfect recipe for a healthy religion. Start with a little murder, torture and fear propaganda to get the ball rolling. Then allow child brainwashing, tradition and fear of death to do the rest. God’s work is a beautiful thing.
I really appreciate that you search the scriptures out. I pray that you keep searching out the scripture, don’t ever stop. But i wonder what has brought you to the point of complete denial…
I will be doing a recap of my popular “Losing My Religion“ post from last year. The posts will go through each of the twenty points to discuss why Christianity (and all religion) is irrelevant.
But for now, watch this video from a former Christian. He touches on many of the reasons I finally woke up and saw Christianity for the fictional theology that it is:
Let’s pretend for a minute that Yahweh/God/Jesus/Holy Spirit are real. They created all things and have a brilliant and holy plan for this creation.
Let’s analyze this creation:
First God created an immeasurable universe full of hundreds of billions of galaxies. He then filled these galaxies with hundreds of billions of solar systems. These solar systems contained numerous planets orbiting each star.
After creating this awe-inspiring universe, God selected one tiny planet, orbiting one tiny star, in one tiny galaxy. The other millions of billions of planets were less important to him. He then gave this special planet an atmosphere, water and filled it with millions of plants and animals.
God now created his most prized and beloved creation … humans. He created this species of mammal in his own likeness and image. This “image” shared 96% of the same DNA as chimpanzees.
After creating this special mammal, he waited several million years before selecting a small group within the Middle East to be his chosen people. He then taught this small sect of people his divine laws, how to slaughter burnt sacrifices to atone for their sin, and how to properly worship him. All non-chosen “Gentiles” were free to be sinful and worship other gods.
When God realized his chosen sect of people couldn’t follow his rules, he flooded the whole planet to start over. When that plan didn’t work, God incarnated himself as a fellow mammal to sacrifice himself to himself to save the world from himself.
God will soon be returning to this special planet to judge his special mammals, riding on a chariot from the clouds. To be continued…
